This figure was created to illustrate the cover of Samuel Murcia Carcamo's upcoming book, "Pasion", a collection of sensuous poetry written in Spanish. The image alludes to a sleeping sultry woman fallen asleep with her hand on Murcia Carcamo's previous book, "Lagrimas y Suspiros". Both books are available online.
About Lilibeth Andre
Since 1998 I've created a series of classical paintings that include portraits and figures; wildlife, landscapes, and still life. I've also done some iconic works and illustrations. My art has been exhibited in Mexico and in the U.S. My collectors are predominantly in the US and Mexico. In 1981, I completed my interior and exterior architectural design, and art studies, in Coyoacan, Mexico. Since 1993, I've studied painting and drawing with Jo Mullendore, Nikki Szeto, Bruce Williamson, Darra Keeton, and William Kalwick, Jr., in Houston, Texas.
