Based on a classic black and white photo of Frida Kahlo, this portrait highlights a glamorous look of the Mexican painter. The artist presents an intuitively colorized portrait in water-based oils and palette knife on canvas board. It hangs on a 3" wide wood frame with silver finish.
Since 1998 I've created a series of classical paintings that include portraits and figures; wildlife, landscapes, and still life. I've also done some iconic works and illustrations. My art has been exhibited in Mexico and in the U.S. My collectors are predominantly in the US and Mexico. In 1981, I completed my interior and exterior architectural design, and art studies, in Coyoacan, Mexico. Since 1993, I've studied painting and drawing with Jo Mullendore, Nikki Szeto, Bruce Williamson, Darra Keeton, and William Kalwick, Jr., in Houston, Texas.
